My Reflection

 I am learning to write a story map.  I was able to write a story map.  I found this easy because I did this with my reading group.  My next step is to do more complex story maps.

My Reflection

I am learning to tell the time.  I was able to tell the time because we we did this before we told the time on the computer.  I found this easy because we did this earlier.  My next step is to learn more about time.

My Reflection 

I was learning to ink ideas (both implicit and explicit) in the text to give a greater understanding of the story. I was able to write a prediction. I found this easy because it was only a few questions. My next step is to do more predicting.

Word Cline

I am learning to make a word cline.  I was able to put these words in order by using the definition.  I found this easy because we got to use the dictionary. My next step is to make another word with more words.

I am learning to find and summarise information by re-telling main events in a text.  I was able to 

I found this hard because I needed help.  My next step is to do this faster because I forgot about the story because I took too long to finish the activity.

I am learning to make a word investigation.  I was able to find words I didn't know the of or I didn't fully understand the word.  I found this easy because we just need to find words and write words on this document.  My next step is to learn more about these words.

I am learning to use place value partitioning.

I found this easy because I practise this strategy.

Reflection:
I am learning to make a prediction based the cover and the blurb. I was able to identify keywords and phrases in the title and the blurb. I found it easy because the teacher helped me a bit  My next is to read the whole story.

Tread Lightly Recount Writing

My Reflection

I am learning to write a recount.  I was able to make different paragraphs in my recount.  I found this tricky because we wrote this a week or 2 after so it was hard to remember.  My next step is to add speech marks because there wasn't any talking in the story.   

Place Value Partiitioning

My Reflection

I am learning to use pvp to solve math problems.  I was able to use pvp to solve these math problems.  I found this easy because I did some pvp in our books before I did this.  My next step is to learn other strategies that solve math problems.
